Located near Thunder Bay, Kakabeka Falls is widely considered to be the second largest waterfall in Ontario. These ‘tall cascades’ of the Kaministiquia River plunge 40 m (130 ft) over sheer cliffs into a canyon. Fossils found at the bottom are over a billion years old, with evidence of human habitation dating back ~9,000 years.
